Freya Carlsen
Clinical Training Background

Freya graduated in nursing from Swansea University in 1995 and went onto have a successful nursing career, working mainly in critical care. She nursed in Australia, spending time working alongside the Royal Flying Doctors as a remote area clinical nurse specialist. Freya also gained her American Nursing qualification. 

After spending 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry in a number of roles, Freya returned to the UK in 2012 where she embarked on her new career in medical aesthetics. In 2013 she returned to university as a postgraduate and gained her independent nurse prescriber qualification. 

Freya has a real passion for aesthetics, standards and sharing best practice. In 2017 she joined Merz, a global Aesthetic Pharmaceutical company as a field clinical specialist. She has been involved in many training events for Merz, teaching advanced injection techniques, scientific product knowledge, and standards within the industry. 

Her current position as a Merz Innovation Partner has an ambassadorial role as well as an educator and her continued professional development with global key opinion leaders enables Freya to offer the most cutting-edge training to her delegates and peers. 

Qualifications, Dip Nursing, BSc, NCLEX-RN, Independent Nurse Prescriber, Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner.
