Excessive Sweating Treatments in Swansea

Sweating is a normal physiological process controlling body temperature in warm temperatures, during exercise or in stressful situations. Sweating is regulated by the sympathetic nervous system and in approximately 1% of the population it works at an increased level giving rise to excessive sweating at inappropiate times and in excess of what is required to control body temperature. Known as hyperhydrosis, this excessive sweating can occur in various parts of the body and can be a cause of great distress to sufferers.

An effective treatment is the use of onabotulinumtoxin -A an FDA approved treatment to reduce excessive sweating. It works by blocking the chemical responsible for ‘turning’ on the bodies sweat glands therefore reducing the amount of sweat that is produces. Treatment is temporary and repeat treatments will be required every 4-6 months to maintain dryness.

Injections are prescribed and administed by registered Nurse, Freya Carlson.

I came to see Freya at skinfinity after my friend had antiwrinkle injections at her clinic. From the beginning she put me at ease, I totally trusted her and her advice and the treatment I received was first class. I had antiwrinkle injections and cheek enhancement and I am thrilled with the results.I don’t normally write reviews but I felt compelled after my experience.
